Feels like home...

It is almost two months now that we live in our new apartment and it is already starting to feel like home! The walls in my room are painted, the furniture arranged in a way I am currently satisfied with and I have only one tiny box left that needs to be unpacked (if I only knew where to put it!)

But here my accomplishments of the day! I finally installed my lamp! All by myself (including lots of playing around with the bare wires, unscrewing the old lamp etc.). The best part of it: I am still alive and my room is really in the last stage of completion! Consequently, I rewarded myself with a very first bath in our bathtub! Finding new routines, favorite cafés and products...

Today is the day of unity in Germany which means that I get to enjoy one special day off from work. In addition I can finally stop looking for a new apartment as I finally found a cozy place! Can't wait to tell you more about it! But I can say that I am in love with my future garden and can't wait to move in and make it feel like home.

CONSEQUENTLY, I have one day to myself that gives me time to organize my life here in Düsseldorf. Thinking about my new roles that I have to fulfill, new routines I want to establish (or old ones that I want to maintain), try new products that I always wanted to try, shop around to find new key items for my professional and leisure wardrobe and obviously to find the new favorite "go-to" café/tea shop, boutique, tennis court, running route and and and...

Oh, it is going to be so cozy. And guess what! I just purchased my first cereal from www.mymuesli.com ! It is (hopefully) going to be so delicious! I only heard good things about it so far and I absolutely love the idea that I will be able to create my very own cereal!
See you tomorrow!

Off we go...

I'll take lots of pictures of the beach and the fun things we will do when finally getting away from the daily life for a little. As the day is a day for remembering the women and men who dies while serving for the United States Armed Forces I don't want to forget about that part. Very glad that all my friends in the Army are still as wiggly and happy as they could possibly be!

Happy weekend and I'll guarantee to spark envy in you over the next couple of days.
