Thursday, my day at the Washington Mall

Hey!
So on thursday i was surprisingly off. So i went by metro into the city. And then my sightseeing tour was ready to start ;) I went to the White House (from the back and front side *lol*) and then to the Mall. And that was honestly a little confusing, because i really didn't know where to go first. Every Museum is for free, then you have the washington monument the capitol building, other monuments, the mall itself and and and ;) So i just went to the most popular thing first- the washington monument. I got a ticket there for going on top of it (but that was valid one hour later) so i went to one of those museums ("Freer Museum") and it was very interesting, because they had there a lot of asian, japanese or other eastern art like buddhas etc. Just nice to look at those things. After, i went to that museum i went back to the monument to go on top ;) But for getting there i had to wait soooooooo long. And the bad thing was that it was surprisingly super cold (and how you can see i wasn't really dressed warm) so that i was freezing. BUT then i met this family (picture) and they cuddled me so that i was staying warm. That was so much fun and also so super nice of them, because in the end we waited for 1 1/2 hours, and i don't know if i could have stand that without them :) After the wonderful view down off the monument (the highest building in dc!) i went to some other hot spots of dc. Like "the National Gallery Art " (I loved to see more pictures of gugain, picasso, monet and i learned to love pictures from turner! So amazing! ), The Old Post Office ( i went on top of it and i had another great view all over washington) and the capitol area. And honestly i was definetly done with classic sight seeing and since i just had breakfast i was also kind of hungry. So i was searching for a perfect restaurant, and i also found a kind of a fancy nice one. They just had a kind of buffet option. And it was really so unbelievable good! Because everything was so super super super fresh! A kind of weird was, that 2 waiters had been always there for bringing me more water, moving my chair if i wanted to get up or gaved me a new plate when i wanted to get another "load" of food :) But i really enjoyed it! and the funny thing was, that there was one waiter "daniel" who talked to me that he had seen me that day walking around and since i really needed to talk a little i just chatted a little with him. ( he was 23 and not bad looking *hehe*) After that i went to a cinema to watch the movie " Across the universe" which was a kind of strange. it was that kind of movie where you don't now if you should love it or hate it, but in general i had a good time! After all i went back home... or better to our hospital hotel ( so i needed to go through all those security things again... and finally got back into a warm building) I was so happy when i was back, all cuddled up in my pijamas, in my bad. All in all i would say that i was a kind of disapointed after my first day in wahington because i just thought that it would be so different. but i just love new york so much, and that you always have so many people around you, that i really missed that! (sometimes it was even hard to find a person who could take a picture of you... *lol*) But you definetly have to see DC and i am so happy that i had that opportunity for just walking around and enjoying the day!
